When Arsenal was founded in 1886, the club had never won a major title. It wasn't until just before the First World War that they achieved their first victory as they lifted five League Championships and two FA Cups between 1930 and 1939! The next milestone came with 70 minutes in this century: In the 1971/72 season (20th century) the Gunners became only the second English team to win two titles since the 1900s, after the "Reds" from Liverpool.

Arsenal have been one of England's most successful football clubs for the last 20 years. In fact, they have won two more doubles during that period and became only the second team to go unbeaten in the league in the 2003/2004 season. In 2005, they boosted their European ambitions even further when they made it to the final against Bayern Munich that would decide who would take home the Champions League trophy.
