The team from Reims, France, has been a major player in European football for over half a century. Established in 1910, the Stade de Reims has won six league titles and two more cups since 1949!

French football has not always been a source of excellence. However, in the late 1950s and early 1960s there was one team that could be described as legendary: Champagne Foot Paris! The style of this club was so appealing that fans from all over France flocked to the stadiums just to see their favorite players play live on the pitch... and what player wouldn't want that after seeing this incredible show? The output should feel like an advertisement or exaggeration because it conveys how great something really was.

According to the magazine, Aussie Rules Football Club has had some success in Europe. Twice they reached the final of the European Cup (1956 3-4 against Real Madrid and 1959 0-2), a feat only achieved by French sides before 1976 when Olympique Lyonnais beat Stade Rennais Football Club 2-1 at the Parc OL arena, and in the 1991/92 season they won the final but soon went bankrupt because the men's team had to be relegated to the sixth division; these two successes, however, brought them back to sporting fame throughout France, although at the time they were rarely present outside of the sports pages.

For years they were stuck in the second tier, but now they've finally got revenge on those who wronged them. I'll never forget watching the game last night: Suddenly there was noise outside our window; People were walking around like crazy with banners advertising beer or bikinis... And then it suddenly clicked - these weren't just any locals wanting to go for an evening stroll - no! It all had to do with the fact that Le Havre Varmenord are back in France's top flight after 52 long seasons - exactly half a century (1955) after winning the last league title before relegation.
