History and description

The stadium has a total capacity of 10,000 and is currently the home of Stevenage FC. The club was promoted to the football league in 2006 after the old main stand was demolished and replaced by the new one.

In 2009, Broadhall Way was renamed The Lamex Stadium after a naming rights sponsorship deal with the Lamex food group.

How to get to The Lamex Stadium

The Lamex Stadium is located in the south of Stevenage, about a mile from the town centre and the railway station. The walk from the station or centre takes about 20 minutes. There are various buses that pass the stadium, including line SB8 from the rail station, and line 300 and SB5 from the town centre and bus station.

On match days, shuttle buses connect the stadium with the railway station and bus station. Services run from two hours before the start of the match.

Stevenage Tickets

Tickets for Stevenage games can be bought online, by phone (+44) 0(14)38 223223, or at the club shop at the stadium. However, tickets for the UCL play-offs may be hard to come by. Tickets can be bought from the ticket office of the stadium or at the turnstiles on the day of the match. Stevenage rarely sell out a regular league match. However, tickets for the UCL play-offs may be hard to come by.

Tickets for Stevenage's home games in the A and B categories cost £20.00 and £16.00 respectively. Standing tickets are also available for £16.00, but cost £2 more on the day of the match. Prices for A-game tickets go up by £2 when purchased on match day.

Be advised, there is nowhere to buy beer once you are in the Family Stand, only a kiosk for soft drinks, pies and snacks.

It was clear from the start that the home fans were not going to be able to generate much enthusiasm for their local-ish derby against Leyton Orient. Despite this, the away fans got started early and managed to keep their voices up throughout the game, but by the end they had become quieter and the match ended in a 0-0 draw. It's worth noting that there is no place to buy beer once you are in the Family stand, just a kiosk for soft drinks, pies and crisps.
