Holstein-Stadion: How to get there and how to buy tickets (2022)
In 1934, after the Nazi takeover of power, the Luftwaffe decided to build a military airfield on the site and the stadium was renamed Reichssport-Stadion, or "Reich Sports Stadium." The Holstein-Stadion opened on October 15, 1911 with a friendly between FV Holstein and Preussen Berlin. It was simply a field with one wooden stand.
