Crown Oil Arena: How to get there and how to buy tickets (2022)
The Crown Oil Arena, formerly known as Spotland Stadium, was built in 1920. For most of its history, Spotland Stadium had a rather modest capacity consisting of one covered main stand and open terraces on the other sides. In 2007, however, the stadium underwent a large redevelopment project that saw the construction of two new covered stands and the upgrading of the existing open terraces. The redevelopment made Spotland Stadium one of the country's foremost football venues, and it has since hosted many important matches in England's football league system.
